The Carnival Triumph has relocated from the Port of Galveston to a new home port in New Orleans. The Carnival Liberty will replace the Triumph in the Galveston cruise line-up.
This shift is part of several changes in Carnival Cruise Line’s presence in Galveston. The recently-renovated Carnival Magic will also soon leave Galveston and be replaced by the Carnival Breeze. The Magic is moving to Port Canaveral, Florida. Continue reading
The newly refurbished Carnival Magic (see our article about the ship’s recent updates) will be changing home ports soon. After the ship’s April 10th cruise from Galveston, the Magic will move to its new home at Port Canaveral.
There are still four opportunities to sail aboard the Carnival Magic from Galveston and some good deals are available. Inside cabin prices for some of these upcoming cruises are priced at under $500 and balcony cabins are available for a little over $700. The Carnival Magic is currently in dry dock, undergoing a multi-million dollar set of renovations. The purpose of the dry dock visit is to add a selection of new restaurants and bars. New additions include three restaurants: a Guy’s Burger Joint (developed in partnership with Food Network star Guy Fieri); BlueIguana Cantina, a complimentary poolside Mexican eatery featuring freshly made burritos and tacos; and Pizzeria del Capitano, which will cook up hand tossed pizzas 24 hours a day.
