The Port of Galveston celebrated an exciting milestone in September of this year. Now in it’s 15th year of operation, the cruise port has served over seven million passengers.
In an October 18th press release, Port of Galveston officials announced that their 7 millionth passenger crossed through their cruise terminal in early September 2015.
The number of cruisers embarking from Galveston continues to grow. Port managers say they expect this year’s passenger count to be 28% larger than last year. The port continues to expand operations to accommodate the increasing number of passengers. An expansion to the Royal Caribbean terminal is under way and will be completed in 2016.
