Royal Caribbean is currently offering a 60% discount on the cruise fare of the second guest in a cabin. If additional people are sharing your cabin, the 3rd and 4th guest will receive a 30% discount on their cruise fares.

The offer period is May 2-June 6, 2016, and cruises have to be booked during that time. The offer is good for sailings departing on or after June 2, 2016.

The recently renovated Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas sails weekly from Galveston, with regular Sunday departures for the Western Caribbean.

The Carnival Breeze to Arrive in Galveston May 7th

caribbean-palmThe Carnival Breeze, which will replace the Carnival Freedom in the Galveston cruise ship line-up, is scheduled to arrive in port the evening of May 7th.

The ship’s arrival will be celebrated on Sunday, May 8th, with a special Mother’s Day “Mom’s Dash to the Splash” charity event. The event will feature a group of moms, who have been selected through and online contest, teamed up with Houston Texan football players DeAndre Hopkins and Brain Cushingin a head to head race down the ship’s 300 + foot long water slides. Disney Wonder Headed for Dry Dock, Renovations

disney-wonder-bow-300The Orlando Sentinel reports that the Disney Wonder, which sails from Galveston in November and December, is headed to dry dock in September, where it will receive renovations. What those renovations will be are something of a mystery at this time.

The Disney Cruise Line announced the upcoming renovation at an April press event at Walt Disney World, but all they would say about the renovations was that they’ll “be making some very exciting enhancements to the Disney Wonder later this year.” Continue reading →
