Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas arrived in Galveston on November 13th, taking the Navigator of the Seas’ spot in RCL’s lineup of cruises from Galveston. The Liberty of the Seas will sail from here year-round, offering seven-day cruises to the Western Caribbean. But before it gets too heavily into sailing regular cruises, the Liberty is scheduled to spend some time in dry dock. Galveston Celebrates 15 Years As A Year-Round Cruise Port
The Port of Galveston is celebrating 15 years as an active cruise port with year-round cruise departures.
According to a news announcement issued by the Port of Galveston, the current fifteen-year stretch of successful cruise activity began with the September 30th sailing of Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Celebration in 2000. Since then, more than seven million cruise passengers have traveled through the port. Continue reading
